When it comes to drink culture in Italy, Roma Bar Show (RBS) isn’t just an event. Iit’s an immersive celebration. Since its debut in 2019, this massive industry showcase has grown into Italy’s leading trade show for mixology and hospitality, shining a spotlight on Italian bar culture and pushing its boundaries onto the global stage. Held in the heart of Rome, RBS is more than a typical exhibition, it’s a full-on “show” in every sense of the word.

The venue itself, Palazzo dei Congressi, is a true Roman landmark. Spanning more than 10,000 square meters and spread across three spacious floors, the venue offers a stunning layout  from the monumental Piazzale to the panoramic Terrace, the setting alone is designed to impress.

But what really sets Roma Bar Show apart is its interactive, sensory experience. Across the venue, visitors will find themed areas, elaborate brand booths, and immersive installations created by some of the top names in the beverage world. These aren’t just booths. They’re carefully curated spaces where you don’t just see products, you smell them, taste them, and feel their story come to life. It's an experience that engages all five senses.

One of the true highlights of the event is the RBS Educational Program, which runs throughout the two days. This dynamic lineup of free masterclasses and seminars features top professionals from around the world, offering insider insights into the latest techniques, trends, and innovations in the industry. Whether you’re a bartender, beverage professional, student, or simply a curious cocktail lover, this is a rare opportunity to learn directly from the best. (Note: some masterclasses may require advance registration, check the official website for details.)

But Roma Bar Show isn’t just about what happens inside the venue. At its core, the event is a powerful showcase of what Italy does best: hospitality. In a world where comfort and personalized experiences are becoming an essential part of lifestyle, RBS serves as a global stage for redefining what true hospitality means. It brings Italian warmth, creativity, and excellence to the forefront, sending a message to the world. This is how we do it in Rome.

The 2025 edition takes place on May 26 (Monday) and May 27 (Tuesday)  Whether you're part of the industry or just love the art of the cocktail, this is your chance to dive deep into a celebration of flavor, learning, and inspiration. More than just a trade fair, Roma Bar Show is a festival of bar culture, and you won’t want to miss a single drop.

A Deep Dive Into the Roma Bar Show 2025 Educational Program: Where the World’s Top Talent Comes to Share Knowledge and Inspire

At Roma Bar Show 2025, it’s not just about tasting cocktails or exploring new brands. It’s about learning from the very best in the business. This year’s Educational Program is one of the most anticipated parts of the event, offering a rich blend of learning and hands-on experience for industry professionals and passionate enthusiasts alike. More than a trade show, Roma Bar Show creates a space where bartenders, brands, researchers, and innovators from all over the world gather to share insights, techniques, and inspiration. It’s the perfect example of edutainment where education meets entertainment.

The program is spread across four dedicated venues, each offering its own unique vibe and focus, making the learning experience as dynamic and diverse as the bar world itself.

Let’s start with the heart of it all: the Auditorium. With 800 seats, this is the main stage of the Roma Bar Show and the place to catch some of the most influential names in the global cocktail scene. On Day 1, don’t miss Tristan Stephenson’s “The Curious Bartender Live”, a session that promises a blend of storytelling, science, and serious cocktail craftsmanship. That’s followed by Marian Beke’s mind-bending exploration of “NeuroMixology and Gastrophysics”, diving deep into the intersection of taste, science, and psychology. And to wrap up the first day, the RBS Awards Ceremony will shine a spotlight on the most outstanding achievements in the Italian bar industry.

Day 2 picks up with just as much momentum, including a look into the rise of Handshake Speakeasy, one of Mexico’s most celebrated cocktail bars, and a must-see seminar by Dave Arnold, who’ll be demonstrating cutting-edge techniques that are reshaping the world of drinks.

For full details, check the official website

Next up is the RBS Academy, located on the first floor and entirely dedicated to advanced technical seminars. This is where high-level training sessions take place, led by some of the world’s most forward-thinking bars. With only 100 seats per session, this intimate setup allows for deeper interaction and hands-on learning. Highlights include “Freezing for Flavour” by Edinburgh’s Panda & Sons, and “Hospitality in Full Colour” by London’s Colebrooke Row, both offering practical knowledge with a creative twist.

On Day 2, things get even more exciting with a session from Lyaness (London) sharing their unique creative processes, a deep dive into Italian-style food and drink pairings, and a colorful exploration of tropical cocktails perfect for anyone looking to bring something fresh and vibrant to their menu.

For a full schedule and how to register, visit the official Roma Bar Show website

If you're someone who loves to dive deep into flavor, technique, and culture, the Tasting Room at Roma Bar Show 2025 is your go-to destination. This space is all about hands-on discovery a place where you can explore the ingredients, production methods, and stories behind some of the world’s most exciting beverage brands.

On Day 1, the Tasting Room will host the final round of the Tassoni Mocktail Competition, where creativity and flavor come together without a drop of alcohol. There’s also a session focused on the art of using fruit in mixology, giving attendees a new perspective on one of the most versatile ingredients in the bar world.

Day 2 brings a more scientific and botanical twist. There’ll be a research presentation on mixology using plants from Pollino National Park in southern Italy, a fascinating talk on the science of ice, and a special session by Gin Tuono titled “Slow Drinks,” exploring how time, nature, and technique can create more mindful and layered drinking experiences. Expect a beautiful blend of flavor, science, and sustainability throughout.

Roma Bar Show Awards 2025: Celebrating the Future of Italy’s Bar Scene

One of the biggest highlights of the Roma Bar Show is undoubtedly the Roma Bar Show Awards 2025 Italy’s most prestigious ceremony honoring excellence in the bar and hospitality industry. But this isn’t just another award show. It's a powerful platform that shines an international spotlight on the evolution of Italian bartending culture and hospitality values.

What sets the Roma Bar Show Awards apart is its rigorous and fair judging process. The selection committee is made up of some of the most respected names in the business, renowned bartenders, bar owners, industry trainers, and journalists, both from Italy and abroad. These professionals evaluate not just how good the drinks taste, but every aspect of the bar experience from innovative concepts and service quality to atmosphere and storytelling.

A Wide Range of Categories Reflecting a Diverse Industry

The award categories are designed to showcase the many faces of Italy’s dynamic bar scene. Here’s a look at what’s being recognized:

Best Italian New Cocktail Bar

Best Italian Hotel Bar

Best Caffè & Bar Storici
A special category recognizing historic cafés and bars that carry on Italy’s rich cultural and social heritage.

These awards don’t just recognize success, they help set new standards for the entire industry. Whether it's about innovation, service, community influence, or preserving tradition, each winner represents the best of what Italy’s bar culture has to offer today.

The Ceremony: A Night of Celebration and Inspiration

The 2025 awards ceremony will take place on Monday, May 26 at 5:30 PM, right in the heart of the Roma Bar Show’s main venue, the Auditorium. Hosting the event are two industry heavyweights: Alessandro Procoli and Patrick Pistolesi, whose energy and expertise will no doubt make it a night to remember.

This gathering brings together some of the brightest minds and most talented hands in the business not only to celebrate achievements, but to reflect on the path forward for the Italian bar scene.

For the winners, it’s often a career-defining moment. For the industry at large, the awards serve as a call to action: to keep evolving, keep pushing boundaries, and keep delivering unforgettable experiences.

So who will take home the honors this year? Whoever it is, they’ll be a symbol of where Italian hospitality and bartending stand in 2025 and where they’re heading next.

SIDE SHOW: When the Whole City Becomes a Stage: How Roma Bar Show Connects People and Places

At Roma Bar Show, the message is loud and clear
“It’s not just a trade show, a network, a city, and a community.”

That ethos comes to life in the most extraordinary way. During the event, it’s not only the exhibition halls that buzz with energy the entire city of Rome transforms into one giant celebration of drinks culture.

For the 2025 edition, Roma Bar Show once again breaks out of the traditional event mold. From elegant hotel terraces and historic cafés to stylish cocktail bars and scenic outdoor spaces, venues across the Eternal City will be taken over by the spirit of RBS.

These unique spaces will host exclusive menus, collaborations, and immersive events all in partnership with the brands and exhibitors taking part in the show. Whether you’re sipping a custom-crafted cocktail in a centuries-old piazza or enjoying a rooftop drink under the Roman sky, the entire city becomes your playground.

This is the magic of the SIDE SHOW  a vibrant, city-wide experience where hospitality and culture meet innovation and global talent.

More Than Just Drinks: It’s a Festival of Flavors, Stories, and People

Throughout the duration of the show, Rome will welcome top bartenders and mixologists from around the world, each bringing their unique flair and creativity. But instead of staying within the walls of the convention center, these world-class talents will take over local bars, cafés, and restaurants, creating unforgettable moments in unexpected places.

Imagine walking into your favorite Roman café and finding a pop-up event with a legendary bartender. Or discovering a secret speakeasy-style party tucked away in a boutique hotel. These spontaneous encounters are what make the Roma Bar Show so much more than an industry event a cultural celebration that spills into the streets.

Every corner of the city becomes part of the story. Every drink is a connection. And every shared toast is a reminder that hospitality isn't just a profession a way of life.

So whether you're an industry insider, a curious traveler, or a local looking for something truly special, the SIDE SHOW is your invitation to experience Rome in a whole new way.

Roma Bar Show’s Buyers Program: A Game-Changer for Global Beverage Trade

The Roma Bar Show (RBS) has long been recognized as Italy’s most important event for the beverage and hospitality industries. Each year, it draws together top brands, producers, and industry professionals from around the globe — creating a strategic hub for innovation, networking, and business.

Now, building on that success, RBS is stepping up its game.

In collaboration with Fiere di Parma and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), Roma Bar Show is proud to introduce its very first Buyers Program  a groundbreaking initiative designed to foster direct business connections between exhibitors and international buyers. The goal? To open up real commercial opportunities in the global beverage market.

What’s the Buyers Program All About?

This new program is all about connecting the right people at the right time — importers, distributors, purchasing managers, and key decision-makers across the beverage supply chain. The idea is simple but powerful: create a space where real deals can happen.

Target participants include:

Buyers and category managers

Purchasing and import managers

Top-level executives and brokers

Private label managers

Representatives from department stores, specialty retailers, and trading companies

Key players from the HO.RE.CA sector (Hotels, Restaurants, Cafés)

Wholesale distributors

Their presence transforms Roma Bar Show from a place of tasting and display into a true international commercial platform where meaningful business conversations can take place.

Perks of Being a Buyer at RBS 2025

One of the biggest benefits of joining the Buyers Program is access to the exclusive “Buyer Pass.” This VIP credential unlocks a host of advantages designed to enhance your experience and maximize your business potential:

Access All Areas: Buyers get front-row access to all seminars, events, and the show’s renowned educational programs.

Networking Opportunities: VIP-only networking events connect buyers directly with industry leaders, innovators, and new partners, perfect for building lasting business relationships.

Flexible Schedule: No rigid time slots. Roam the show floor freely, discover brands at your own pace, and engage in spontaneous, and often fruitful business conversations.

Dedicated Buyer Portal: Gain early and detailed access to exhibitor information through a custom online platform, helping you prepare and plan your meetings with maximum efficiency.

In short, RBS is no longer just a place to explore what’s new in drinks — it’s where international beverage trade gets done.

The Roma Bar Show Buyers Program is more than a convenience; it's a bold step toward building stronger, more efficient bridges between producers and global purchasing power. If you're a decision-maker in the beverage space and looking to expand your international reach, this is the place to be.
